About the Creator

It was in 2011 that I rediscovered clay. University gave me an introduction to pottery as I trained to be an Art teacher.

My artistic endeavours revolve around the exploration of the significance of all our interpersonal connections and the profound impact we have on one another. 

I believe that our lives are shaped through our awareness, appreciation and support for all our relationships, including self -relationship.

The quality of our lives is directly influenced by the level of support we provide to one another.

 The interconnecting links create a tactile manoeuvrable sculpture. Sculptural pieces that can be changed and interacted with to endless possibilities.

I employ Raku and Smoke firing glazing techniques that introduce an element of unpredictability, ensuring that each individual link is distinct. As unique as we are. 

This approach also renders each sculpture a one-of-a-kind creation, incapable of replication. This is of upmost importance to me as a means of conveying the uniqueness of each family, group friends, or, when representing one’s life, the singularity of that journey.
