Description
Five independent links are self supporting to create a live sculpture. The links are thrown on the wheel and burnished to provide a smooth unglazed finish.
The sculpture represents five independent members of a family that when joined together creat a family dance, that is unique in the way each piece interplays with one another.
The Driftwood acts as a stable base providing support. I have chosen wood as trees communicate through a complex biochemical signalling network, “tree talk”. there is often an unspoken connection within a family , the unspoken support!
